As well as making New Years resolutions January is traditionally a time of the year when people start to think about moving home.  So we thought we’d share some previous customer experiences with you about potentially saving money when buying a house.

It is advisable to have a CCTV drain survey done when you buy a house because it could identify problems in the drains before the property has been bought,  This doesn’t often feature on a home-buyers check list but you’re buying peace of mind – Hopefully there is nothing wrong, but how would you know?

If there a problem is found, it could be just a simple blockage that can be sorted by jetting but we had a customer recently who found serious root problems.  This would have cost several thousands of pounds to sort. Instead, they managed to negotiate a reduction in the price of the house.

You may be surprised to find out that it can also affect new properties too.  We’ve found rubble in the drains of new house which caused a problem as soon as they moved in.

So if you want to discuss preventative action and how we can help you, call us on 0333 323 4580 or email and we’ll get straight back to you
